625 Harvard St.

This Queen Anne Victorian home stands as a testament to the Houston Heights and the importance of preserving historic homes, while updating them with the amenities and living space a 21st century family expects. There’s a bit of a disagreement about the year this house was built but not the pedigree. It was built in either 1899 or 1903 by George and Winona Nogle.

Their daughter owned and lived in the home until the early 70’s. She once told the neighbors that, as a child, she could sit in her bedroom and look across the empty fields to the south and see the banks of the White Oak Bayou. When HDT Builders is finished with the renovation and addition to this home it will have a living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen and family room on the first floor.

The second floor will house the master bedroom and bath, a 4th bedroom with attached bath and a laundry room. In addition to the lovely front porch there will be a screened porch off of the family room facing the back yard. There will be an unfinished space above the 2-car garage to be finished by the new homeowners when they are ready.
